You may not write this paper on any topic you have previously used for a Pre-Physical Therapy Seminar course. Although it is a bit unlikely, if you are assigned a topic about which you have written a previous paper, please alert your instructors immediately to be assigned a new topic. You may not adapt or re-use a paper you have previously written for any other class. Should this occur, you will be required to re-do the paper using a new topic assigned by the instructor.

  • Minimum of 5, maximum of 10 pages of text (not including the cover page or the references)
  • Minimum of 8 peer reviewed journal article references (not including your text book)
  • 12 point font size if using Times New Roman font (11 point if using Arial or Calibri)

You may use your textbook from your Exercise Physiology class as a source, however all of your other references must be from peer reviewed journals (either electronic or print) and there must be at least 8 journal articles used.  (you are only required to produce annotated bibliographies for 6 of these)  If you are not sure if a journal article you locate is from a peer reviewed journal, please check with your instructor.

No web sites should be used for references.  Students should retain PDF copies of all articles used to develop their papers.  These PDFs will be submitted to Blackboard according to the instructions for the “annotated bibliography” assignment.  Students should be very careful to adhere to all rules related to appropriate citation of references to avoid plagiarism.
