Experience in a Live Concert

The best concerts that I have ever attended were two Jazz concerts in Ohio: one on 15th of September and the other on 30th of November. Initially, I had mixed expectations about what I would find there, but am glad that I gained unforgettable experience. The musical instruments that were on use include saxophone, trumpets, digital piano, trombone, horns, guitar, and drum set. These instruments created a fantastic flow of the music. Actually, they created an atmosphere of moving from the ground, flying in the sky like an eagle. The style of the performance was exceptional with elements from R&B, Reggae, Hip Hop and Jazz.

The actors were skilled in their performances. They staged their performance just like stars. Slow and soft songs created deep emotions in audience’s nerves. The performance was shifting from slow to fast tempo. In either style, the audience responded with intensive madness. Cheers and celebration covered the entire venue especially when their favorite artists stage their performance. Momentarily, the audience turned impatience with the feelings generated by their favorite songs. Everyone was hungry to perform the music at the stage with the music band. In fact, no one could afford to retain their dance position as people kept pushing forward.

The music band was active in the performance. The first brass on front line consisted of five young men who exhibited their prowess in playing tenor sax and alto sax using the saxophone. The second roll was made of four men who played trombone and tuba. The last roll consisted of guitarists, drummer, pianist, tutors, and music directors.

The performance of the song “Come over my Lover” was terrible. Trombone was played smoothly with a low tone. Drums, pianos and guitars resonated well with the title of the song. Everyone developed his/her own dancing style. Indeed, the rhythm of the song was applauded in varying symbolic dance of love.

Music hobs were busy with their cameras and ipads taking photos of the performance. They drew forward to the stage in order to cover the artists clearly. After a long dancing session, the performance took a break. However, the mood was not over. Comedians warmed the cloud with thunderous performance. They created funny jokes and imitatory voices on some of infamous public figures in America. Lifeson boomed on stage with an explosive solo piece. Everyone responded with an affirmative nod for the funny stuff (Mark 27).

New artists were ushered on the stage. Their performance was terrific and adorable. The crowd went mad in different dancing styles. Despite the challenge of coping with different behaviors from the audience, such as sniffing, smoking, and drunkenness, I would have regretted for missing such a performance.

Discussion

I accepted Mark Evan Bonds facts that when you see an event on live performance, you see the best footage. He evaluates culture and varieties of concerts in his edition. Secularism is the main element of performance in current era of music. The role of audience is also heighted in Mark Evan’s book where he says that, “the audience plays the biggest role in making a given performance lively.” This fact is valid in the 20th century where artists rely on the audience to inflame their dance (Mark 40).

However, it is prudent to avoid uncertainties that may emerge in live concert by considering watching the event ion television. Fans have suffered grievous injuries in past because of the madness of the crowd. Pushing and shoving are also inevitable in a live performance (Mark 22).
