It is evidently clear from the discussion that the different races represented in the community are: White Americans, African Americans, Hispanics and Asians. White Americans are the majority of residents while the Asians are the least. As I mentioned earlier, White American are the majority ethnic group in my neighborhood. In this part of the country, the White American population has been estimated to be 75% of the entire population. African Americans constitute about 16% of the population while Asian Americans are 6%. In my neighborhood, the population mixture reflects the numbers at the state level. I do not think there are any native Americans in my neighborhood. Historically, white Americans have always been the majority race followed by Black Americans and Hispanics in that order. Other racial groups started having significant population numbers just recently. The White Americans normally are richer than other racial groups due to the fact that they have easy access to better jobs opportunities than other racial groups. They can afford to live in the better part of the neighborhood which has the best, but quite expensive houses. They are also able to take their children to good private schools. According to David Jolly, the manager of the Orange County Social Service Department, most people on social welfare are from the Black and Hispanic communities. This shows that this breed of Americans is not as economically well off as their white counterparts. I do not think that there are people who can be said to look like each other in any situation. However, members of my community who are from the same racial background normally have similar features. For instance, white Americans will definitely have Caucasian features, which include long dark or light smooth and silky hair, light skin and they have a similar accent. Black Americans have kinky hair that is not as long as the Caucasians’, they have a darker skin tone than their white, Asian and Hispanic counterparts.
