what were the three most impactful things you learned this semester how do you commit to using what you learned to be an active ally to women in the next step of your journey
We have to write a reflection essay. I am a part of an allyship program in school that discuss gender issues in technology. I am a men, and I am a part of this program to discuss about gender inequalities in tech at school. During this semester, we talked about Intersectionality and Microaggression and how to respond effectively when we see someone at school saying discriminatory things intentionally or not about women majoring in tech at school. We were asked to read about “Countering the Negative Image of Women in Computing” as well as “Fundamentals of Effective Allyship” , “30 Ways to Be An Ally to Women in Tech in 2019 ” and ” it Is Time For Women In Technology To Lead The Way In Gender Equality “.
So the reflection essay is to write two pages about three most impactful things we learned this semester( Which are the things I discussed above. Refer stuff from the readings to answer the question) and how do we commit to using what we learned to be an active ally to women in the next step of our journey.
