How have the wars of the twentieth, and now, twenty-first centuries shaped the lives of working class people in the United States? I think you were aiming for a summation of “The Great Migration” and how the world wars allowed many black working folk to move north in hopes for better job opportunity. If so, good. To add on, explain how Cold War policies affected Americans at the gas pump negatively. If you want to get even deeper, look into the “Military Industrial Complex” and how it pulled the American economy out of the great depression by employing millions of Americans in factories to build up our warring state. Ultimately the “Military Industrial Complex” coupled with the “G.I. Bill” allowed for the development of “Suburban America” and the rise of the greatest economic era in our nation’s history — The 1950’s.
