The applicant questionnaire is your opportunity to tell us about your interest and preparation for graduate work. The ECE Department’s Admissions Committee often considers the information on this questionnaire to be the deciding factor on whether or not to admit.

1) The ECE field has many different technical areas of emphasis such as integrated circuit design, control, communications, and so on. Of all the possible ECE technical areas, which one interests you the most? Be specific and tell us how you originally became interested in a particular technical area.

2) What are your long-term career goals?

3) Each student admitted to the graduate program is assigned a faculty advisor. Who on the faculty do you think would be most appropriate as your advisor? Why?

4) You already have, or shortly will have, a bachelor’s degree. Why do you want to pursue a master’s degree?
