4. Design a multi-use warehouse in which cross-docking, case picking, and broken case picking operations occur.It may be of either a typical U-shaped or modular design.Identify each area, and designate where the inbound and outbound truck docks are located.

– Select the type of equipment and storage you will use to put away, pick, and move materials in each area of the warehouse.For example, for put-away you might select a straightforward propane gas fork lift, for case storage and picking you might select an automated case dispensing system, and for pallet storage you might select bay storage or double-deep racking.You must defend why you chose that particular equipment and storage type.
