Visit the Australian institute of health and welfare website and choose one of the nine national health priority to answer the following. My chosen topic is diabetes.
A) why this health issue is a national health priority ? Include in your answer epidemiological evidence( such as incidence or/and prevalence both nationally and internationally)what is known about the burden of mortality and morbidity on the Australian population.
B) Using at least two peer reviewed articles describe one national and international strategy that has been successful in addressing your chosen health priority. Your discussion should include an assessment of the success of this strategy. Depending the type of strategy used and the evidence available, the assessment should consider two of the following:
– Improvement in health outcomes.
-Better use of health services, this could be through most sustainable services, or more effective collaboration between health human services and community organisation.
-Community capacity building
-Change in local state ,national and international policy
