Similarly, higher education has also become global in scope, as e-learning technologies permit students and teachers to work together regardless of physical location. Still, participants in virtual environments bring their own cultural perceptions, values, and behaviors to these new channels of communication, just as they do in face-to-face encounters. Read the articles Virtual Multicultural Teams: Real Communication in the Virtual World and Discerning Culture in E-Learning and in the Global Workplace. Discuss the benefits and limitations of virtual environments in facilitating and improving intercultural communication, considering both the workplace and the e-learning contexts. The paper must be two to three pages in length (excluding the title and reference pages) and formatted according to APA style.
