The following is the example I provided for the Course Outline: Your first insertion may be Introduction. Will you just introduce yourself and provide your background or will you also have the participants introduce themselves? Are you providing guidelines for them, such as name, why they are taking your class, something they may want to share with the class, etc.teaching new diabetic patients, you may ask them to introduce themselves and state how long they have been diagnosed if this is a small group. For small groups, finding something in common with other members is a good icebreaker.)

In the above example, your teaching strategy for Introduction may be

You will not insert word for word what you will say, but keep in mind enough detail so if someone had to teach your class if you were ill, they could pick up your teaching plan and be able to teach the class. Your class is one hour long.

Goal: To educate the importance of practicing safe sexual behavior in order to reduce the spread of the HPV virus, in hopes of drastically reducing the number of new cases of patients being diagnosed with each year in the United States.  The student will be able to apply lessons taught about HPV to their everyday lifestyle

Objective # 1: At the end of the learning session, participants will be able to clearly define HPV in detail along with the risks of the disease.

Objective # 2: At the end of the learning session, participants will be able to distinguish between the various strands of HPV and identify which ones are low/high risk strands.

Objective # 3: At the end of the learning session, participants will learn and comprehend the importance of practicing safe sexual behavior to reduce the number of HPV cases.
