There is no doubt wireless networks are here to stay. Both private and public organizations are busy implementing networks to provide users’ access to information assets without being glued to their office desks. Yet, the introduction of wireless technologies into any type of organization brings with it some security risks. In the past ten years, wireless researchers and vendors have worked hard to develop security solutions that greatly mitigate security risks to wireless networks. Read at least two journal articles from the IS/IT industry. Identify wireless security best practices used in the private or public sector. In your view, (A) Are wireless security best practices being dictated based on vertical markets? Or (B) Do wireless security best practices work best when developed specifically at an organizational level?
