Does the representation strengthen the argument made in “Independent Women”? in “The Merchants of Cool”? Is Elle an independent women? A “midriff”? Both? Explain. How is masculinity portrayed in Legally Blonde? *In order to do this well, you will need to make reference to specific characters, specific scenes and specific dialogue.
