Assignment Instructions and Requirements

For this assignment, explore the laptop or desktop computer you use most often. Much of the information can be found by looking in your computer’s settings. If you are unable to find all of the information you need, it is permissible to find a vendor’s page with this information as long as you include the URL to your source.

It is not permissible to use a tablet, smart phone, or other device for this assignment; if for whatever reason you are unable to access your typical computer, visit a library, use a work computer (with permission from your employer), or ask a friend to let you look at his/her computer.

Overview

• Use PowerPoint for this assignment. If you need assistance with PowerPoint’s features, you can visit the Hoonuit site linked in the Course Resources section of the course.
• Identify means to provide the specifications for your computer.
• Explain means to write a general description (such as explaining what RAM is and what an ethernet card does). All explanations must be written in full sentences, with a minimum of 15 words each except where noted otherwise. Do not copy from sources.
• Provide URLs for any sources used in the notes section of the slide on which this source was used . Do not place these on the actual slides, and do not use in-text citation, as this assignment is meant as a personal document.
