Part 1

Ethical and Legal Considerations for the I/O Practitioner (minimum 7 pages)

• Describe two common ethical dilemmas an I/O practitioner might encounter and explain why.
• Explain how you would address each ethical dilemma. In your explanation, be sure to include reference to specific ethical guidelines, practices, and principles.

• Describe the role of the EEOC in the practice of I/O psychology and three different laws that are enforced by the EEOC.
• Describe two different types of discrimination prohibited by the laws enforced by EEOC and how you would ensure that this discrimination is not occurring in the workplace.
• If you were hired as an organizational development consultant, explain how you would help an organization to ensure an equitable workplace. Include at least two best practices you would suggest.

Workplace Diversity and Multiculturalism (minimum 5 pages)

• Explain two benefits and two challenges related to workplace diversity.
• Identify and briefly describe one recent news story about an organization or industry struggling with each workplace diversity challenge. Then describe strategies that an I/O practitioner could use to address the challenges and explain why each strategy would be effective. Be sure to use evidence from the literature to support your points.
• If you were hired as a change management consultant, explain how you would help an organization embrace diversity and promote multiculturalism. Include at least three best practices you would suggest.
