Q1. Plot the stem-and-leaf graph for each gender.
?    State the largest measurement for each gender.
?    State the highest frequency group for each gender.

Q2. Draw the frequency histogram for each gender.
?    Describe the shape of the graphs.

Q3. Draw a parallel (horizontal) box-plot for both genders (in one output).  Prepare the table
showing the quartiles underneath of the box-plot.
?    By looking at the box-plot, which gender has larger head circumferences overall?
?    Interpret Q1 (lower quartile) in the male group.
?    Interpret Q3 (upper quartile) in the female group.

?    First, please open Word and write the assignment title, course name & your section codes, and your full name as three lines in bold letters, font size 14pt.

?    Then, use SPSS to do the following.  Copy-paste the necessary outputs to Word (do not change the format of SPSS, use “keep source formatting” when pasting).  Label each question number for the outputs.  Put them in order and staple the hard copies to submit.  Save your work in H-drive or USB.

Use the same data set as Part 1.

Q4. Create a table showing measures of the center (mean, median, and mode) and the
*standard deviation for each gender using SPSS.  Explain the meanings of those statistics in this situation.
*Use Empirical Rule (one of them) for the standard deviation to explain even if the
shape of the distribution is not bell-shaped.  Show calculations to find the range of
values.

Q5. Write some comments about the differences between genders.  For example;
?    Which gender has a larger mean circumference?
?    Which distribution (male or female group) has more variability?
(Is it okay to use the standard deviations to compare the variability? Discuss about the
necessity of the coefficient of variation for this case.)
