Review the assigned readings on noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). Now, select one NCD (other than cancer or cardiovascular disease) and try to envision a future (25-30 years from now) where neither policies nor decisions have been made to stop and prevent it worldwide. How will it look like? What about its diffusion and potential implications for the society at large? In this hypothetical scenario description, mention the NCD’s cause and risk factors and provide some basic disease burden data. Include two different in-text citations from the assigned reading that describe aspects of this disease.Responses should be approximately 150-300 words. Include at least two different in-text reference citations. In-text reference citations e.g., (Author, Date) should be used for attribution when summarizing content (see the guidance provided in the Additional Resources folder on the course home page). A full reference citation is not required for this assignment.
