I agree that the four main data types are nominal, ordinal, interval, and ratio. Examples of nominal data discussed in your post are yes and no questions and names that can be listed. Ordinal data examples include names that can be ranked in order and any measuring questions like agree or disagrees. Interval data examples are centigrade temperatures, and the calendar since this type of data does not contain a true zero point. An example of ratio data is age, weight, and height. According to your post, method is the instrument in the study, which is the technique through which data is collected. The data collection methods discussed in your report are surveys and questionnaires. An example of a scale discussed in our class notes mentioned in your post is Faces Scale which collects data by eliciting an individual’s feelings, especially how they feel physically. I agree that validity indicates how sound your research is, in other words, how trustworthy it is and how much truth it contains. The types of validity discussed in your post are internal and external validity. I agree that internal validity is when a researcher tries to stop the results of a study from being affected by the flaws within the study by controlling major variables or by using standard equipment that has already been tested. External validity is the extent to which you can generalize your findings to a larger group or other contexts, and the results can be applied to contexts different from the one that the research was conducted within
