1. A 78-year old widower has come to see his health care provider. The nurse interviews the patient about his past medical history and current health concerns. The patient states that he is planning to marry "a nice lady" but is concerned about his sexual performance. He asks about a prescription for sildenafil (Viagra). What are the uses for this medication, contraindications and possible side effects of this medication? What aIDitional assessment data does the nurse need to collect given the patient’s age?

2. A nurse is assessing a 32-year old postpartum patient and notes 2+ pitting edema of the ankles and pretibal area. The patient denies having swelling prior to delivery. The nurse interviews the patient’s chart and notes that she was induces with oxytocin (Pitocin) over a 23-hour period. What is the relationship between this drug regimen and the patient’s current presentation? What aIDitional assessments should you make?
