This is a written reflective paper in which ‘you’ are the case study, each student’s case study will be unique. Start by reflecting on an event, incident, interaction, and or observation that occurred in the hospital clinical setting. The paper should still present in a professional and academic way with supporting references that highlight your own critical thinking and analysis.

The Gibbs reflective cycle is applied to your chosen event in the paper. Once you have this in place start identifying which aspects of your reflection relate to leadership (this can include leadership theory, teams, change etc.). Then determine which aspects of your reflection relate to patient safety. You will now be aware that many aspects in the clinical setting including staff issues can relate to outcomes for patient safety, this reflection will enable you to ‘delve’ deeper into this area.

Headings required for the paper
