Presentations: When is it acceptable to deceive, if ever? Deception?

Were Abraham’s lies wrong and why?

Was Rahab’s deception praised and why?

What can we learn [infer] from these stories, if anything?

Required to submit a paper in which you integrate the course reading and video presentation to develop a paper comparing and contrasting: The “truth telling” violations in the Abraham / Rahab Bible stories.

Please provide a detailed presentation which is organized according to the following format:

PART I- Provide a brief Introductory Summary (Must include a clear Thesis Statement).

PART II- Outline Abraham’s acts of deceit and describe whether these actions were right or wrong. (Please articulate how this may or may not apply to the fact that this individual is referenced in the Hebrews 11 “Hall of Faith.”) Please be sure to provide clear, biblical support for your rationale.

PART III- Identify Rahab’s deception and whether or not her act of deceit was praised. (Please articulate how this may or may not apply to the fact that this individual is referenced in the Hebrews 11 “Hall of Faith.”) Please be sure to provide clear, biblical support for your rationale.

PART IV- Identify Biblical absolutes, commandments and guidelines relevant to both stories of deception.

PART V- Conclude the paper outlining the main lessons a health professional can glean from these 2 examples.
