Ramayana is of great influence particularly to the Hindus in different places in the world. The stories highlighted in this poem are said to have been told to Valmiki by the gods after which he wrote them down. Ram’s story is a model of the perfect man. Ramayana’s story is however filled with ups and downs and some of these elements make Ram appear as a bad man. From behind, he kills Vali, who is the king of the monkeys. He does this to help his brother gain favor so that he can win the war against Ravana. Notably, however, Rama becomes a hero that models how people behave in a given situation. The poem seems to be intended for the listener and the reader of the story. The poem’s excerpt is conducted using the third person which shows that the story was narrated with the intention and purpose of giving people a story. The story was intended for people that subscribe to the Hindu religion or the people of India as a way to direct them about the best way to live life, According to one of the greatest gurus in modern India, Maharishi Yogi notes that Ramayana is full of enlightenment, is perfect for every profession, and is for mastery as opposed to natural law (Goldman and Shall, 67). . He further notes that it is good for the fulfillment of the desires that a person might have. Ramayana is meant to create a perfect society, a perfect man, and a perfect world.

Ramayana Outlines a Good Model that can be Adopted by Anybody

The book outlines the model of life. Ramayana’s conduct of a good model that can be adopted by anybody. The people that read it are expected to follow in the footsteps of Lakshmana and Rama. It models love, brotherhood, and love. Notably, some forms of conduct are outlines in traditional roles which may otherwise not be possible in the modern world. This is demonstrated in the text that says “0 Prince of Raghu, it is for thee to keep thy fair name untarnished! The husband is as a God to the woman, he is her family, and her spiritual ·preceptor, therefore, even at the price of her life, she must seek to please her lord.” Additionally, there are lessons about the contemporary world from Ramayana. The fact that Rama is a King shows that in the current modern world, there is a lot of compassion towards people. It demonstrates that people must always depict friendliness and compassion towards the people around them irrespective of the dynamics and the nature of the relationship between them. Compassion is an important virtue and according to Valmiki, the author, the significance of this element is implicitly shown without saying necessarily saying the words but by ensuring it is part of the character that is painted as a model person.
