General Structure: Times New Roman Font, 12 Point. Double Spaced. 2-3 pages. Addressing the prompt “Given 3 million dollars, what would you do to change or improve the world?”
Guidelines: Possible forms of exploration and discussion in your paper could include:
-a description of the area you intend to improve and/or the differences between before and after your intervention
-the means of improvement: methodology if known, introduction to society if needed, implementation (if you have an idea/if relevant)
-the importance of doing so, of your improvement/change: why your idea is significant or how the world is in need of this change, what impact the change could have and in what areas, the long-lasting benefits that could be predicted/strived for, the consequences if the problem is not addressed, etc.
-any hurdles you may encounter if this was undertaken: possible backlash from society or the government, regulation restrictions, patents, FDA approval, etc.
Final Papers will be evaluated on: 1) demonstrated understanding of theories discussed in paper, 2) use of critical thinking skills in the synthesis, evaluation, and application of ideas discussed 3) clarity and organization of ideas 4) following of format instructions, 2-3 pages in length, double spaced, attention to grammar and spelling, writing style
