This assignment is a take-home essay assignment of 2 questions, 3 pages each, to test knowledge and assimilation of the course objectives. The exclusive use of required texts and readings from this course is mandatory.

Please follow all directions below.

Question 1: In what ways has the international community’s concern with human rights evolved since 1945? How has this led to the idea of “transnational justice”?

Question 2: In your view, are economic, political, social, or cultural rights more critical for the pursuit of transnational justice?

Both answers should rely only on the course materials for substantiation of arguments. Please do not go to the internet to “search” for answers, but create your own argumentation and support it with readings and materials from the class. The midterm is an assessment of what you have learned in the class – not how well you can research. Your research project will provide that opportunity.

Please present your work as a Word document, remembering to double-space and put your name and a title on the paper. You should also put your name on the file.

Important: Please present only one Word document with this assignment. Reproduce each question at the beginning of your essay so that it is obvious which question you are answering. Make sure to include a thesis statement in the first paragraph that addresses the question thoroughly. Papers presented with no indication of the questions’ being answered will be returned.
