? I am required to select a damaged section of a local road in UAE (minimum 300 meters) with at least 3 different types of flexible pavement distresses. So I choose a 2 lanes road traveling in same direction. It contains bleeding, alligator and pothole failures. I will send to you the pictures to include it in report OR keep an empty space of the pictures which I will include to the final report)

TECHNICAL REPORT WRITING GUIDELINE

The following are guidelines for the format of the Technical Report. The report should contain at least 1500 textual words in length. Paragraphs are to be double-spaced. Font is to be Times Roman 12.

The report should be written in a style that is appropriate to an academic or professional environment.

 
The student should make effective use of visuals by deciding whether to include them in the main body of the report or the appendix. Graphics should be correctly numbered and titled.

The student should document and acknowledge all sources of information and ideas in the report. Plagiarized work will not be acceptable. The proper use of quotations is essential.

The report for this assignment must include the following:
? Introduce the case study.
? Discuss general causes of pavement damage.(with pictures)
? Describe the failure that you have in your road.
? Investigate the causes of failure for this portion of road.
? Develop a Maintenance/Rehabilitation plan (Include signs and other safety measures).
? Access an international and local standard or code of practice for road maintenance (Note: if you cannot enter UAE code please inform me so I will try to provide it for you).
? Compare and contrast the maintenance and rehabilitation processes for at least two distresses between the international codes and local codes and identify key similarities and differences for serviceability and maintenance requirements for the portion of road selected.
? Recommended solutions/Remedies of anticipated problems.
? Conclusion.

Use your own words. Quote if necessary but reference properly. List all resources used at the end of your report with attachments as appendices where needed. The conclusion is to include a reflective discussion on what you have learned as part of completing this project and a projection on how this will help you be a better engineer.
