The purpose of this assignment is for you to practice implementation of writing into a lesson for your current content.
1. If you are not an ELA teacher, you may not know this, but in Georgia, ALL content areas have literacy (reading and writing) standards! These standards are referred to as Literacy Standards in History/Social Studies, Science, and Technical Subjects (to include math, connections and CTAE courses). The standards for Kindergarten-12th grade are attached below. Using the Big Book standards document, identify the literacy standard that aligns with your assignment.
2. Choose a grade and content appropriate text for students to read (or that you read to them). The text can be the same one you used for Module 4’s Classrooms That Work assignment.
