Write an essay in which you will investigate one of the major prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, or Daniel ). In your essay, describe how your chosen prophet executed all three prophetic roles. Refer to the lecture from Week 5. Cite at least three Scripture passages and at least one secondary source as support (this source is in addition to our course lectures). Use MLA guidelines. Using MLA means that you cite all information you did not know before completing this assignment, including information from your class lectures. Your finished essay should be a 400-500 word, MLA formatted Microsoft Word Document. Submit your assignment by attaching a Word doc. Click on “Browse my computer”, select the document, then “Submit”. Add any comments to the teacher in the Comment box. Do not choose “Write Submission”.
Grading Rubric – 25 points 60% – Assignment correctly identifies the 3 roles of the prophet 20% – Assignment uses course materials and at least one additional outside source to support main themes. 10% – Assignment is formatted according to MLA guidelines to include a works cited page and in-text citations for all outside sources including course materials and Scripture. 10% – Assignment follows English grammar and spelling rules.
