Impact of Emotion on Performance

In this module, you learn that emotions can have a significant impact on our lives. Reeve (2009) suggests that there are four dimensions to an emotion: subjective, biological, purposive, and social. 

These four dimensions help us better understand and define an emotion.

Research the impact of emotion on performance using your textbook and the Argosy University online library resources, and respond to the following:Select either the emotion of anger or fear/anxiety.

Download the template and use it to examine the four components of the emotion that you selected.Identify the ways in which your selected emotion can impact an athlete’s performance.Explain how your selected emotion may have both a positive and negative impact.Identify at least two current research articles that address your selected emotion in terms of athletic performance.Write your initial response in 100–200 words. Apply APA standards to citation of sources.By the due date assigned, post your response to the appropriate Discussion Area.
