My book is Evidence Based Practice in nursing and Healthcare: A Guide to Best Practice. (2011) or 2014 by Bernadette Melnyk and Ellen Fineout-Overholt

This  my overall average. The institution that I completed my internship is where I am presently working, which is a mental Health facility called Hillcrest

Behavioral Hospital. This facility is made up of nurses which are Associated Degree Nurses,five  Nurse  Practitioners,ten Physicians, four pharmacy techs, three

pharmacist, ten  Nurse Managers, eight house supervisors, Mental health Techs,  DON, CEO, COO, Dietary department and others
While working with this facility I noticed that they are not ready or getting prepared for  EBP, most of  the nurses  rely on each other for information and have very

poor computer skills . The mass majority of the nurses are new ADN graduates and lack the ability and skills to comprehend the EBP. The Physicians and the Nurse

Practitioners are suggestive to EBP and new knowledge.  The corporate office is trying to make changes, but are being subjected to too many barriers such as inadequate

employment, not enough nurses or staff, a massive turn over monthly. When trying to incorporate new knowledge by the time the staff becomes trained, there’s another

turnover in staffing. This facility have recently incorporated a new computer system that can better track community, hospital acquired diseases. It is able to give

statistical data and it is able to monitor and track immunization of the children’s shot record and more.

Evidence-Based Practice Proposal €“ Section A: Organizational Culture and Readiness Assessment
Before making a case for an evidence-based project, it is essential to understand the culture of the organization in order to begin assessing its readiness for EBP

implementation.

1) Complete the Organizational Culture and Readiness for System-Wide Integration of Evidence-Based Practice Survey, located in the textbook appendix.
2) Develop an analysis of 250 words from the results, aIDressing your organization’s readiness level, possible project barriers and facilitators, as well as how to

integrate clinical inquiry.
3) Make sure to include the rationale for the survey categories scores that were significantly high and low, incorporating details and/or examples. Also explain how to

integrate clinical inquiry into the organization, providing strategies that strengthen the organizations weaker areas.
4) Submit a rough draft of the survey results with your narrative analysis. However, a final draft of the survey results should be placed in the appendices for the

final paper.

Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
