Introduction to Philosophy Essay
Assignment: This is not a formal essay with intro, body and conclusion. In this essay assigment, I would like you to answer each question using at least 100 words for each question (500 WORDS TOTAL). Not only give me your thoughts, but argue your points and give me several examples and illustrations. All essays must be typed in MS Word format 12 pt Arial or New Times Roman, or can also typed in Pages on Apple, and submitted in Canvas. (Click on the essay module, click on “submit assignment.” Choose your file and upload your assignment. Then, click “submit assignment” again. That’s all there is to it!)
*I grade on both content and grammar in all your written assignments. Use good grammar or points will be deducted!
- What is morality? How does one determine what is right and wrong?
- Does God exist? Who is in control of the universe?
- What is reality? How do we know what is real?
- What is the meaning to life?
Note: since the answers at this point are subjective I will only grade on how well you accomplished the assignment. Thus, for example, if you answer the question “What is reality?” by simply writing “Reality is what is real” with a sentence or two defining your position, that will not receive a good grade. But if you write a full answer with 100 words explaining what it is that constitutes reality, and why, giving some examples, then you will receive a good grade.
