It was hot, so I went inside, and I watched television to cool off. Drank about two more beers and talked with two girls that were friends of Jerry; they were friends of my ex-girlfriend as well. They stated that my ex had found another boyfriend and they were already talking marriage and children. I watched the car race for a while, by myself, and then went back outside to play horseshoes. I played a few games and had an argument with one of the other guys, and they wanted to fight, so went inside to cool down again.“At about ten or eleven, one of the people at the party came to me to tell me that my ex, Sally, had been found outside her house, hurt and barely alive. She was taken to the hospital.“I watched the end of the race, close to midnight, had a few more beers and left. Went directly home.”
