Learning Outcome “Culture”

The student will apply knowledge of diverse cultures by examining the various differing cultures in American society that have come under particular scrutiny by Homeland Security. The student will apply knowledge of diverse cultures as it relates to challenges in regards to Homeland Security.

Please consider the following when writing this paper:

“You are a federal agent and have been working a human trafficking organization case for over a year. You finally have made several arrests and have liberated several women who had been trafficked to work in the U.S. You are, however, not having any luck in being able to convince any of these former victims to talk to you. You have been advised that these women come from a country where law enforcement is to be feared. How do you go about earning the trust of these former victims? What steps do you take to show them that U.S. law enforcement is different than what they are culturally used to? Do you seek some psychological counseling for the victims? Do you find someone from the country and have them assist you?”
