Google Inc. was founded and incorporated by Larry Page and Sergey Brin on September 4, 1998.

Financing and Initial Public Offering

In 1998, Google received its first funding of US$100,000 from Andy Bechtolshein followed by the $25 million funding from venture capital firms on 1999 and finally initial public offer in 2004 which included 19, 605, 052 shares at a price of $85 per share.

Growth

The company has gained growth due to its innovation and leasing of their office complex which was known as googolplex.

Acquisitions and Partnerships

Google has had several acquisitions and partnerships since 2001 has greatly improved its operations such as distribution of its services but the largest acquisition was of Motorola Mobility in August 15, 2011.

The company own and operate six data centers in U.S, Finland and Belgium and further announced plans to build three data centers on September 28, 2011 in Asia.
