Using this week’s chapters in the textbook and online resources and search engines (search engine 1, search engine 2, search engine 3), report back on the various roles that involve the government in health care. The best approach is to take some notes where government is mentioned when you review the chapters.

Please note, key online search terms are in ” ” (quotation marks).

Begin with a blank template for Unit 1 Individual Project, and answer the following by completing the various bullet points:

• Point 1: What areas of government involvement in the payer, provider, and regulatory areas do these terms align with: “CMS,” “Medicare,” “FDA”?
• Point 2: How does the government become involved as “government as a payer,” “government as a health care provider,” and “government as a health care regulator”?
• Point 3: What are the names of some “government hospitals”? Research here.
• Point 4: How does the government become involved as a “health care regulator”?
• Point 5: How is “Obamacare” or the “Affordable Care Act” involved in health care?

Once you have collected 5 bullet points on government, add the 5 refined bullet points from your Discusssion Board post. You have now developed 10 points, or the content for the first part of your final presentation. The assignment should be 10 bullet points within the Individual Project template. Always avoid coversational language.
