Genius Loci

Part I

In this essay, I provide substantial information explaining the identification of the items already contributing to the space’s genius loci with reference to my house. In addition, I will focus on illustrating why these elements define the space, as well as contributes to the spirit, sense, and essence. In the first instance, my house has home thearter and computer to enable me watch movies while relaxing at home. In this context, the object is essential for recreational purposes. Moreover, my house has a special object in the form of the chess piece, which is an expression of art. The chess piece is unique in the provision of entertainment satisfaction of my needs, as well as my boyfriend’s demands within the house. My house has ideal furniture, which are critical in the definition of the space while contributing to the spirit, sense, and essence of the genius loci (Christian, et al. 228).

My furniture incorporates the appropriate regency kind of style to express my love for the artistic style with reference to the French style and detailed illustration in its development. My boyfriend and I love to drink coffee in the morning while listening to music all day. In order to address these needs, we tend to be on our computers while using the juice maker in the generation of natural juices. From a religious perspective, I am into Buddhism. The presence of Buddha sculpture in the genius loci of my house is vital in the generation of peace while interacting with the neutral things, as well as balance. In addition, I love sporting activities and gears, thus the aspect of always in the sport cloth and huge collection of running shoes. Furthermore, I focuses on the usage of sporting cars with the intention of expressing my love for the sporting activities.

The objective of these elements is to enable me to handle my daily activities like the university, gymnastics, and parking. These elements in the space are essential in the creation of the genius loci with reference to sense, spirit, and story (Christian, et al 46). Conclusively, it is critical to classify these elements into diverse groups. In the first instance, I have furniture pieces with reference to the dining chair, sofa, dining table, bed, and chandelier. My house also has industrial objects with reference to classic coffee maker, juice maker, and Mac book Air, and home theater system for entertainment purposes. I also have Buddha sculpture, photo, and chess piece as expressions of art pieces. Other valuable objects in my house include the sport car, sporting shoes, and the black dress.

Part II

From the above objects in section or part one of the essay, it would be appropriate to integrate a mirror as an industrial element to work well with the objects in the house. In the first instance, the mirror will be appropriate in the provision of the perfect platform for my boyfriend and I to appear presentable. In addition, the mirror will be essential in the provision or generation of an artistic perception of the objects within the house with reference to the furniture and other industrial products. This approach is critical in the creation of the spirit, essence, sense, and the story of the house, thus the concept of perfect interior design.
