The American dream

Fitzgerald’s view of the American exhibits the death of the American Dream. That fellow had it coming to him” (Fitzgerald, 187) and even confesses that he is responsible for the death of Gatsby and the suicide by Wilson but he perpetually continues to feel innocent because he has never felt shame as he is a member an established social elite. The upper class category consists of the heartless citizenry who have amassed wealth through dehumanization or trading their souls.
