Learning Outcomes:

• Utilise established techniques to interpret and apply relevant legal principles to the application of fire law.
• Demonstrate an appreciation of the uncertainty, ambiguity and limits of knowledge pertaining to the legal requirements relating to primary and secondary fire legislation (for example Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004, Fire and Rescue Services (Emergencies) (England) Order 2007, Civil Contingencies Act 2005, etc.).
• Communicate ideas, problems and solutions relating to fire service law to a wide range of specialist and non-specialist audiences within the fire and rescue environment.
• Critically evaluate fire service investigative and enforcement roles.
