Final Paper Humanities

The class has been successful and there are several things that I have learnt from the readings, the poems and the class generally. The class had made a great impact on the views of love starting with Sappho who from her poetry we get to understand that the true meaning of love and the impact it has on our lives. Love is a delicate aspect of life and everyone needs to be treated with love. Love is a strong force where the mystery of how love moves things is left to the gods. We need to treat everyone with love to help create a conducive environment for prosperity.

Also, the power of women cannot be underestimated whereby women can do great things and have the power to unite. Just like the women of Lysistrata, women need to come out and advocate for peace love and unity for this is what it means to be Human. To be human requires us to fight for peace and end war since people die during wars. It is important to note that Dua Khetty’s letter to his son can be widely used in career choice since she emphasizes on choosing a profession that is independent so do we need to learn from her.

From the last assignment on Greek Humanism we get to understand that Humanim has a great impact on literature since it shapes how we write our work. Most work in both the ancient and current society is written according to we treat each other which is an aspect of humanity. To be human implies that doing that which is right to everyone in the society guided by morals and ethics. To be human means one having the desire to see peace and unity in the community. Lastly, we all need to advocate for a virtuous society that treats everybody equally and cares for everyone.
