1) Conduct interviews with at least three early childhood educators about federal (e.g., NCLB, Title I, IDEA) or state (child care regulations) policy that governs early childhood education. Your practicum/field experience mentor teachers qualify as interviewees. One interviewee should be the administrator of a faith-based pre-school to determine how this factor makes a difference, if at all.
2) Use at least five criteria, based on your personal interest. Examples might include impact of funding on curriculum, testing criteria, demographic information about the teacher, impact of NCLB and Title 1 in the classroom, etc.
3) The interviews can be conducted via email, telephone, face-to-face, web-based instrument, or any other method that works for you.
4) Create a Microsoft Word table or Excel spreadsheet that identifies your criteria and results.
