Assignment Instructions

In Part 1 of this Assignment, you will complete the steps listed under “In Someone Else’s Home or Office” in Chapter 36 of your text to allow file sharing with another user. You will create a new user account (Read Chapter 3: “Setting up User Accounts.”)

Assignment Requirements

1. Take a screenshot of the Advanced Sharing settings, capturing the “Turn on password-protected sharing here” radio button.
2. Take a screenshot of the newly created user account.
3. Take a screenshot of the shared folder in the File Sharing window.
4. Explain the pros and cons of setting up sharing files and folders. Describe two scenarios in which you can make your computer available over the network to other people.

Investigate and consider the ethical impact that the skills gap among professionals in the cybersecurity field may have contributed to the current situation.

Use at least two references from books or the Internet within your paper.

Prepare a 2-page paper (plus title page and reference page) not including charts or graphics in APA format explaining the topic.
