Explain the techniques and the similarities and differences between the French New Wave Cinema and the “Angry Young Man” or “kitchen sink realism” cinema school of Great Britain in the 1960s with the New German Cinema and Italian film-makers of the 1970s. Who were some leading directors in each of the four styles of film-making and what underlying subtexts did they explore in their movies?
