Edith Employee works as a teacher and cheerleading coach for the local high school. Her daughter is a student at the school and is also on the cheerleading squad Edith coaches. Edith is upset about the cheerleading program being cut, and she attends a school board meeting to complain that cutting the program will harm her daughter. Principal Paul is upset about Edith speaking as he feels she is not being “loyal.” As a result, he disapproves her merit pay even though her students performed the highest on the Preparatory Intelligence Test (the PIT) the standardized test that every high school student has to pass in order to graduate. Edith is, however, asked to give a seminar to all the teachers at her high school on how to prepare students for the PIT. At the seminar, Edith presents a PowerPoint Presentation on how “the PIT is the pits” and does not accurately test anything. After the seminar, Principal Paul removes Edith as chair of her department which resulted in a cut in pay. In order to make some more spending money, Edith started dancing at the Pretty Pony, an adult nightclub, where she danced in a “naughty teacher” outfit that barely covered her private parts. Officer Friendly was tipped off about this behavior and went to the club. After watching Edith dance, he arrested her for public indecency. Principal Paul, hearing of the arrest, immediately fired her. Edith protested her firing and all the actions Principal Paul had taken against her in court and claimed that she had a First Amendment right to talk to the school board, to present the PowerPoint at the seminar, and to dance at the (250 words)
