experience vs attributes in leadership

LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE VS. LEADERSHIP ATTRIBUTES

Critical Thinking Skills: Comparing and contrasting is the process of looking at similarities and differences in order to reveal important characteristics of two objects, systems, organizations, events, processes or concepts. In comparing and contrasting experience and attributes, you are to demonstrate the following critical thinking skills. The primary concern is “what” to compare/contrast. We will cover many factors related to leader experience and leader attributes in the class. The task is to select the “most salient factors” to compare/contrast.:

  • Identify the most salient factors related to experience and attributes for entry-level frontline managers
  • Please limit the number of attributes and experiences to 3. So, there will be 3 comparisons. Provide a detailed comparison for each with definitions, concepts, and examples.
  • Compare and contrast the level of importance of each attribution and experience.
  • Draw a conclusion based on this investigation.

Task

You are to write an essay that compares and contrasts leadership related experience and attributes. Your paper will be assessed based on critical thinking skills outlined above. A paper is considered late if it does not meet this condition. Late papers will be assessed against the Late Submission Policy located within this syllabus.

  • Papers should be between 1500 and 2000 words in length, typed, double-spaced, 12-point font, one-inch margins.
  • Peer-reviewed scholarly research should be used for reference that support your key points.
  • To avoid plagiarism, your paper must have similarity index less the 20%.

Factors: The list below reflect factors related to experience and factors related to attributes. This is not an exhaustive list and will be a guide to you to start. There are other experience and attribute factors.
