For a Company to work effectively and succeed in realizing profits and be able to account and manage for every asset and workers in the company, a well established Human resource system is required. Developing good human resources needs knowledgeable people who have the required skills and experience. Workers should be aware of their duties and responsibilities as an important aspect of improving the performance of an organization. The dynamic changes within companies calls for a rational way of managing workers so as to maintain quality services.

Such policies should include training employees and doing internal marketing so that they can deliver services and goods of high standards. This training should be carried out at regular intervals so that the workers are up to date with quick changing technology and each worker should be well equipped to handle his/her department. These policies ensure that employees are constantly being improved as intellectual assets and their productivity is high. Proper recruitment policies ensure that only the most competent staff is hired (Coskun, 2001).

Human resource ensures only trained and competitive personnel are selected and this improves the working condition of an organization and ensures that resources are fully utilized therefore improving the productivity of the company. Developing human resources can be challenging due to poaching of workers by competitors and this reduces the output of an organization because it will force the company to recruit and train new employees which may take time for them to catch up with the set human resources targets. The company should therefore have policies which favor staff retention. To retain employees, companies should address workplace environment with regards to health and safety (Coskun, 2001). In addition, motivating staff with performance incentives encourages workers to give their best in terms of performance and this contributes to development of a perfect human resource.

Human resource also contributes to the team building of an organization hence promoting good working relationships between the employer and the employees. This ensures that skills and knowledge are shared within the organization. In addition, human resources development can be attained by initiating counseling and mentorship of colleagues by other more competent colleagues. In cases where skills are lacking within a company, the organization should focus on recruiting workers from outside to bring in new skills and experience.

Developing human resources is one of the crucial factors that a company must major in to guarantee its growth although it is an expensive and time consuming activity.
