For biomass determinations, you measured inorganicP (Pi) in a non-fumigated sample (a), a fumigated sample (b) and anonfumigated sample extracted with 0.5 M NaHCO3 containing KH2PO4to provide 15 micrograms Pi G soil^(-1) (c).
A. Determine the microbial biomass P for each soil. B. Indicate which soil has been in cultivation and which hasbeen in continuous no-till for several years. Justify your answer.
