Assignment 1: Organizational Analysis, Part 1

Select an organization(PEPSI COMPANY) (be sure to have your instructor’s approval by Week 3 before writing this paper) and write a 3-5-page paper

1. Describe the nature of the organization, its size, and any specific human resource challenges it faces. This answer is based on cited, factual information about the company, not your personal unsubstantiated opinions. There is no way to answer this question without a source for your information. Your discussion should included organizational challenges discussed in the text/class.

2. Describe the major legal concerns of the organization and recommend how those concerns should be aIDressed. What legal concerns did you find in your research and/or what do you feel are concerns the company should anticipate based on what you’ve learned thus far in class?

3. Determine how the organization should aIDress current (or anticipated) human resource issues concerning expanding into international markets. What HR issues related to current/future global staffing has/should the company anticipate?

4. Make recommendations concerning how the organization can leverage its human resources to come out on top in a highly competitive environment. Think about the strategies we’ve just discussed. Has/is the company using one currently, what strategy from the text do you recommend for this company and why?
