Essay Question : ‘the theories of Piaget and Vygotsky are very often presented as poles apart – at opposite ends of a spectrum. This however, is not entirely the case and there are as many similarities between the work of Piaget and Vygotsky as there are differences…’ (Morgan, 2010, p. 21 in Parker-Rees et al, 2010). Critically evaluate this with specific reference to play and pedagogy.
