Here are the guidelines for the paper. Your assignment is to write a position paper, i.e. the strongest argument you can for your view. I suggest the following steps: Formulate a thesis. E.g.: It is easy to state the moral rules that should govern the conduct everyone who does business anywhere in the world : look to business activity itself. Keep contracts. Don’t harm your employees. Be honest with partners. 2. State a few arguments that support your view. 3. State a few objections to your view. 4. Defend your view against these objections. Your paper should be written in a concise, clear and explicit style. Make sure that that the final product is easy to understand. You must use material from our course. You may use other material, but you must make sure that you give credit to other authors, i.e., use complete footnotes. See the Chicago Manual Style. This is a position paper, and not a research paper. Your paper will be graded solely based on the quality of the writing and persuasiveness of your argument. (4-5 pages double spaced) 6 pages is the limit!
