Case Study—“Reorganizing Human Resources at ASP Softwareâ€, pages 332-338.
The case study report should consist of an introductory section that will contain an overall synopsis of the content of the case study. Should only be 3 pages long.
Following the introductory/synopsis section there will be the analysis section that will contain the results of the writer’s determination of the major elements that have contributed to the current state of affairs in the studied organization. These should include the positive and negative aspects of the situation presented in the case study. Challenges and opportunities will be identified as they relate to the organization.
The next section will include the writer’s recommendations as to the courses of action that the organization needs to implement to increase the strengths and to minimize or eliminate the weaknesses present in the organization. These courses of action should be focused on increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the operations of the studied organization or situation.
The last section will be a summary of the main points presented and a closing that reaffirms the writer’s thoughts as to the future operations of the studied organization.
Case Study Format
The body of the assignment basically has four major sections: Synopsis; Analysis; Recommendations; Summary. These sections follow right after each other. Do not start a new page for each section within the body of the assignment. Label each section by centering its heading as shown below.
Synopsis
Analysis
Recommendations
Summary
The answers to each of the specific questions that are part of the case study in the textbook need to be presented. This can be accomplished by either specifically labeling the response to each question and its response or including the response to the questions within the text of the Analysis or Recommendations section (whichever applies) of the report.
