Global warming

Global warming is a global issue in that it serves as a rising problem and affects the entire globe. The environment serves all living things in that it is essential for their growth and sustainability. The environment is supposed to be healthy so that all forms of life can continue to prevail. This however, is not the case due to the harmful human activities. These activities continue to deplete the resources living the environment less functional as a whole. Global warming is the increase in normal temperature of the globe due to the depletion of the ozone layer. The ozone layer serves as a protective coat for all life forms. It prevents the environment from the excessive rays produced by the sun. This in turn, reduces the harm on living things. Global warming is responsible for the exposing human beings to skin cancer and loss of eyesight. These conditions can be prevented if the issue is controlled by all the countries (Demirbas, p. 211).

The focus of this paper is to provide an analysis of Demirbas’s “Political, economic and environmental impacts of biofuels” on global warming. The paper looks writes on all aspects of global warming. It then provides a concluding summary on the contents of the analysis.

Global warming is caused by the exposure of the environment to chemicals rich in carbon dioxide. Globalization is the increase in interaction of different countries due to the factors like technology, communication and trade. It entails the improvement of infrastructure so as to improve the living standards of society. This is a positive factor due to the improvement in the quality of goods and services offered to communities. Despite the advantages of globalization, its introduction has served as a disadvantage to the safety of the environment and its inhabitants. One of the demerits of globalization is the use of high carbon elements for the production of house hold commodities. The emission of carbon to the environment reacts with the gases of the ozone layer. This as a result creates a hole in the ozone causing its depletion. The earth continues to face an immense amount of ozone depletion due to the activities of developed countries.

This situation has become a global issue in that the safety of the earth is threatened. One of the ways authorities have tried to control this phenomenon is by introducing policies such as the Kyoto protocol. This seeks to address the use of carbon chemicals by the highest offenders in the globe. The introduction of the treaty reduced the rate of global warming due to the fines that came with the offences. This however has reached a stalemate due to the current issues concerning the renewal of the policies. It is significant to note that the countries who abuse the environment the most are the least corporative. The talks have as a result led to a number of controversial debates about the way forward (Demirbas, p. 321).

In conclusion, the environment is an essential aspect in the growth and sustainability of the entire society. It is thus up to human beings to take care of the environment by reducing on the consumption of harmful chemicals. The increased rate of globalization continues to harm the ozone layer. Communities have to address this situation so as to improve the conditions of the globe. This in turn, will serve the earth and its inhabitants well by improving its environmental conditions.
