Each student is required to respond to each question as thoroughly as possible, evidencing that you have read and interpreted the reading(s) that address the questions. Try to answer each question in the order in which it is given and to the best of your ability. Be thorough and creative! Each assignment should span between two (2) and four (4) typed double-spaced pages and should be written in Times New Roman 12-point font within 1-inch margins; while I have given the page range as a guideline, I am more concerned with the quality of the work instead of the quantity. Therefore each answer should be at least two (2) well written paragraph(s). Do your best!!

3. Compare and contrast the African worldview and European worldview and discuss why the African worldview is important is defining what Black studies is according to Azibo? See Articulating……..

4. What is the Deep Structure of Culture according to Azibo and Myers? Why does Myers’ suggest that it is important for African Americans to understand the Deep Structure of Culture? What are the consequences of not reclaiming the Deep Structure of Culture, according to Myers?

5. Read Marable’s “The importance of African American Studies” and write a synthesis [summary] on how the University can improve its own core curriculum by studying the African American [Africana] experience and advancing the interest and [contemporary] well-being of the community.
